In case you missed it, the latest Q4 news round-up from SWPA
Foreword from SWPA Director, Mary Bennell
Like everyone, we are busy preparing for the end of another financial year and thanks to our team’s hard work it’s set to be our most successful yet! I hope that despite the challenges of recent times it has also been a success for you.
We look forward to our collaboration with everyone in the coming year to get even better results for all, and to deliver our goal – to provide the procurement solutions that help build better buildings, and communities.
Have you seen the new Engineering Inspection Services framework?
This framework is a first for SWPA in many ways! It was developed by our London and South East team in conjunction with Southwark Council, ensuring that it would be suitable for all public sector organisations to use.
This framework aims to provide an efficient and cost effective way of ensuring their plant, machinery and equipment meets the latest industry and legal standards.
It applies to plant, machinery, and equipment in many different scenarios, including:
- Individual street dwellings
- High and low rise blocks
- Houses in Multiple Occupancy (HMOs)
- Sheltered housing units, hostels and community halls
- Office buildings and commercial units
- Leisure centres and park spaces
- Boiler and plant rooms
- Workshops and garages

How modular construction is supporting the healthcare sector to achieve its sustainability goals

David Hartley, Managing Director at MTX, discusses how modern methods of construction (MMC) are proving beneficial to the healthcare sector, when it comes to supporting their sustainability goals, particularly under the increased pressures brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.
