Our vision for the framework

This framework is designed to support SWPA Clients to increase the use of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) in delivering their housing programmes.

  • Meeting the ‘Gold Standard’
  • Promoting early collaboration between Clients and Appointed Companies
  • Bringing Clients together for aggregation of demand
  • Delivery of Net Zero Public Sector Buildings standard to support public bodies in meeting their net zero commitments for their new build projects.
  • Increased use of Pre-Construction Service Agreements (PCSAs)

Want to adopt modern
methods of construction?

The MMC definition framework provides a new
regularised terminology for ‘Modern Methods
of Construction’ used in home-building.

SWPA Lifetime Values

In addition to providing our clients with competitively tendered Framework Agreements for building works, goods, and services SWPA is committed to delivering tangible social value and community benefits in meeting local and regional needs. SWPA work with our clients and appointed companies to ensure that wherever possible projects delivered using our Frameworks leave a social legacy.

SWPA has aligned its activities to create the SWPA Lifetime Values, which uses the 4 key value capitals as identified in the value toolkit by the Construction Innovation Hub.

During the life of the Framework SWPA will work with clients and appointed companies to promote, identify, implement, and monitor the impact of these value capitals, which could be supported by social value and community benefit initiatives alongside the delivery of the works or service contracts in meeting local and regional needs.
