New £20million framework opens for kitchen manufacturers and suppliers
Nationwide kitchen manufacturers and suppliers can from today apply to be part of a new four-year framework estimated at £20m for public sector projects.
Construction procurement provider LHC Group’s Kitchen and Associated Products K7 framework covers the supply and delivery of domestic kitchens and associated products to the public sector, for use in both residential homes and public sector buildings.
Running throughout England, Scotland and Wales and open for applications until 19 May 2022, the framework gives suppliers access to work with a wide range of local authorities, registered social landlords, NHS Trusts and other public sector bodies.
Dean Fazackerley, LHC Group head of technical procurement, said:
“We are seeking kitchen manufacturing companies with a high level of customer service and proven track record of support in surveys, advice, guidance, and working with clients to deliver successful kitchen replacement programmes.
“Building on our existing K6 framework, with K7 we are focusing on enhancing the supply of affordable and quality kitchens, including inclusive ranges, following feedback and collaboration with clients around their needs. This means we are looking for suppliers to provide both modern standard and disability kitchen units, worktops and associated products in a variety of styles and finishes.
“Our clients work across a range of residential and commercial settings, meaning kitchens must be durable and built to last, with replacement fixtures and fittings available as part of this framework for any necessary repairs.”
The K7 framework will be available through Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA), Consortium Procurement Construction (CPC), Welsh Procurement Alliance (WPA) and South West Procurement Alliance (SWPA) and LHC London and South East England(LSE) for both direct award and mini competition projects, with bids assessed against 60 percent quality and 40 percent price.
Final appointment will see six allocated suppliers per regional area and two reserves for an estimated start date of summer 2022, running for four years.
Suppliers have until 19 May 2022 to register their interest and submit their bids, with tender documents now available at LHC’s Proactis Page. Potential applicants can also attend a tender briefing webinar on 6 April, 11am, with registration for this opening 25 March.
