Asset Safety & Compliance Conference 2024

The South West Procurement Alliance (SWPA) are holding an in-person Asset Safety & Compliance conference at the Forge in Winslade Manor, on Thursday 25th April 2024.

The conference will herald the newly launched Asset Safety & Compliance (ASC1) Framework, along with our upcoming Fire Safety (FS2) Framework.

The day will be informative and enlightening, kicking off with SWPA's Regional Manager, Penny Searson and key speaker, accompanied by a variety of different speakers throughout the day, presenting and discussing the multiple workstreams on the framework. A range of interesting topics surrounding compliance will be addressed, such as asbestos consultancy, managing HVAC and electrical safety, along with much more.

The SWPA team look forward to welcoming you to this event, which hopes to bring together the best of the industry in collaboration and discussion.

The Asset Safety & Compliance Agenda:

09.30am to 10.00am - Arrival with teas and coffees.

10am to 10.15am - Opening from Penny Searson, SWPA's Regional Manager.

10.15am to 11.15am - Keynote Speaker, Arron Lock and Joseph Campbell, from Rider Levett Bucknall, presenting on Building Safety.

11.15am to 11.30am - Break

- What is an Environmental Clean? presented by Mark Bartlett, Training and Consultancy Manager CoCA LFAAM at Kovia.

- Assured Compliance in Water Hygiene and Legionella Control presented by Spencer Culley, Director of Churchill Environmental Services.

- Synergising Efforts for Robust Property Protection and Management presented by Louis Fordham, Social Development Director at Orbis.

- Electrical compliance, Why Do We Need To Comply? presented by Stuart Biggs, Technical Sales Support Manager at PHS Compliance.

- Mastering Mechanical Services presented by Neal Grant, Business Development Manager at Lorne Stewart.

- Panel Discussion and Questions.

12.30pm - 1.10pm

- Multi-disciplinary – a Contractors Perspective presented by Clinton Brewer, Business Manager and Ashley Wiltshire, Contracts Manager, from Ian Williams.

- Delivering Active Measures presented by Phil Jones, Senior Fire Safety Consultant at Ventro.

- Panel Discussion and Questions.

1.10pm to 1.20pm - Closing remarks from Penny Searson, SWPA's Regional Manager.

1.20pm to 2.30pm - Lunch and Networking.

The Forge offers free parking for all guests, however we ask that there is a maximum of two guests attending from each organisation, and you are welcome to bring marketing banners and brochures, but please let us know beforehand so we can accommodate this as space within the venue is limited.
